Experience Day Prices
Drive or take it easy and be chaffeured as a passenger? How would you like your experience day in a vintage steam powered car to work for you?
Package 1. Platinum Steam Car Driving Experience Day. 10am - 4.30pm
This is the top of the range package and includes learning to steam a Stanley Steam Car, actually driving the car, very minimum 1 hours driving (3 x 20 min slots per person), lunch in a canal side pub plus a photo card.
The steam car driving experience day initially start off at our factory premises in Daventry, Northamptonshire. On arrival at around 10am, our guests are greeted and welcomed with tea, coffee and biscuits prior to the day commencing. This then progresses to putting one or both our cars in to steam followed at around 11am by the rest of the day of travelling and driving around the beautiful Northamptonshire and Warwickshire country side. On the route we drive through the grounds of a 14th century stately home while stopping to fill the steam cars with water and partake in refreshments at a café on the grounds. We will also visit a canal side pub for lunch and a take a drive alongside a Warwickshire reservoir. We work our way back to the factory for around 4pm for a debrief and photo/certificate presentation completing the day at 4.30pm. There are ample photo opportunities along the route to take pictures and any photos taken by a Hire Steam representative during the day will be emailed to you free of charge included in the price quoted. Cost per person for the who day including, insurances, all refreshments and lunch is £349. Each car can fit 3 passengers so we can potentially take 6 people out per day.
Package 2. Package 2. Gold Steam Car Experience.
This package is for those customers who want to experience everything in the Platinum package above but do not want to drive as they are unable to do so, have no urge to, or just fancy enjoying the experience of being chauffeured around in a steam car and experience the thrills and sounds without the added pressure of driving. Cost for this package is £299 per person and includes everything in the platinum package other than the driving.
Package 3. Silver Steam Car Driving Experience.
Available morning or afternoon from 10am - 1pm or 2pm - 5pm.
The Silver package is for those customers who do not want to learn how to get one of the Stanley’s in to steam and feel a whole day is too much for them, both financially and time wise. It includes stopping for complimentary tea/coffee/cake on route while the steam car is being refilled with water.
The day starts with tea/coffee on arrival. The car (or both cars) will already have been put in to steam prior to your arrival ready for us to set off promptly. The next two and a half hours will be spent venturing in to the beautiful Northamptonshire and Warwickshire countryside where each of the three passengers will enjoy around 30 minutes driving (2 x 15 minute slots). Part way through the experience, at around 11.30am for the morning slot and 3.30pm on the afternoon slot, we would stop off at a local café by a reservoir to top up with water while our guests enjoy a complimentary tea/coffee and cake. There are ample photo opportunities along the route to take pictures and any photos taken by a Hire Steam representative during the day will be emailed to you free of charge included in the price quoted. Cost per person is £199.
Package Bronze Steam Car Experience.
Available morning or afternoon from 10am - 1pm or 2pm - 5pm.
Our final package is our most affordable package. The Bronze steam car experience is for those customers who want to experience everything in the Silver package above but do not want to drive as they are unable to do so, have no urge to, or just fancy enjoying the experience of being chauffeured around in a steam car for a few hours so they can experience the thrills and sounds without the added pressure of driving. Cost for this package is £149 per person and includes everything in the Silver package other than the driving.
